I actually had to play Last Day of June to review it for a website I was writing for. After four hours and after reaching the ending, I wept on the keyboard for what felt like a long time. I had to wait a bit before beginning my review because I couldn’t handle all the emotions the game made me feel.
Two years after that, I still become emotional while I talk about Last Day of June. Ovosonico, the software house behind it, did an incredible job creating a game so simple, yet so poetic and emotional that cannot leave anyone indifferent to its story.
There aren’t many indie games as powerful as Last Day of June, I think it should be played at least once by everyone.
I’ve been playing videogames since 1998. From 2012 to 2019 I wrote for many italian websites dedicated to videogames, but, after a long hiatus, I decided to open my own blog.
Besides videogames, I play Dungeon & Dragons 5e and I enjoy writing/reading mystery novels. I also love to cross stitch while watching movies and TV shows.
