This is my bonus post of my #roadto2020. In these ten years of gaming I had many, many regrets. Games I didn’t finish, games I haven’t even started and in general my approach of gaming didn’t make me always happy.
As I said many times, I wrote reviews for some websites in the past. That was a wonderful experience, but also one of my biggest regrets. You may have have noticed that I didn’t talk about any game that came out in 2019, and there’s a reason for that. I didn’t play videogames for more than six months after leaving the last website I wrote for. That was because I had lost my passion for writing, and for videogames. I did other things, like playing Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, but the idea of playing a videogame made me sick. It was a dark period in both my real life and my gaming life, and now I’m slowly going back to my normal self.
There are also many games that I started and never finished, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Batman: Arkham Knight, but the list is much longer than that. I’m not talking about games that I dropped before I wasn’t liking them. These are just games that I didn’t have the time or the will to play in that moment of my life.
I’ll put a list of some other titles just to give you an idea:
- The Last of Us
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Shin Megami Tensei IV and Apocalypse
- Yakuza Kiwami
- Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
- Return of the Obra Dinn
- Cuphead
- Quantum Break
There are others that I wanted to play, but I didn’t even began:
- Detroit: Become Human
- Until Dawn
- God of War
- World of Final Fantasy
- Pokémon Shield
- Mad Max
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
I hope that the next decade will be richer, and I hope to finish the games that I listed and many more. And I hope that this blog will be a good way to start fresh, with a new mindset to live my passions the best way possible!
